讲座介绍：

The lecture explores the ways in which postcolonial writing in English from various 21st-century contexts interacts with our imaginative understanding of the world. Throughout, the focus is on reading practices, where reading is taken as an inventive, border-traversing activity, one that postcolonial writing with its interests in margins, intersections, subversions, and crossings specifically encourages. Elleke Boehmer holds that literature has the capacity to keep reimagining and refreshing how we understand ourselves in relation to the world and to some of the most pressing questions of our time, including resistance, reconciliation, survival after terror, and migration.

讲座人信息：

艾勒克•博埃默（Elleke Boehmer）教授现为牛津大学世界英语文学教授、牛津大学生命书写中心主任与牛津大学出版社后殖民文学研究系列丛书总主编。她还是英国皇家文学学会院士、英国皇家历史学会院士。作为殖民与后殖民文学研究的奠基人之一，博埃默教授迄今已出版五部专著，主编多本学术论文集，发表了大量的学术论文，其代表作《殖民与后殖民文学》与《后殖民诗学》享誉全球学界。
